On the way back+Pattaya+Land
2009, January 3
I thought it is getting lame with so many posts on the same topic, so this is the last one. Condensed the ‘on the way back’ pictures with those taken in Pattaya. On the way back pictures mainly is to capture the vast areas of salt fields where they let the sea water dry up and harvest the salt.
The Pattaya trip is mainly to visit some guy’s property in development. Not close, but nevertheless happy to have the opportunity to visit something i have never seen before.
The land part, erm, is just to see whats the state of a piece of land under the company right now. My father loaned the land to a friend who once helped him out for him to harvest the cashew nuts planted on the land. But that guy actually sold the cashew timber (simply speaking, he chopped down all the trees) without my dad’s permission.
Small Floating Market
2009, January 3
I went to a small ‘waterfall’ and floating market after the hot springs.
Felt cheated when i visited the ‘waterfall’ because it was an ultimate anti-climax. The banner at the entrance was so HUGE, everyone thought the waterfall should be spectacular. Turned out to be a water drop less than 2 metres in height. Was pretty pissed, considered i paid to enter somemore. The fee was insignificant, but the reality was too way off from my expectations for me to not feel pissed.
The floating market was way better. At least got something to see. But then, after the waterfall incident, didnt really have great expectations of it. So the visit was pleasent. Brought quite a lot of fruits from the hawkers on their boat. Didnt actually went into the floating market because of time constrains, but loitered around the vicinity.
On the way to hot springs~
2009, January 3
I just realized yesterday that you cant organize photos into different blocs if they are all uploaded into the same post. WordPress users will know what i am talking about. So, lazy as i am, i decided to simply create another post to showcase the photos of other events.
The photos are captured on the way to the hot springs to, er… soak our feet. Not exactly keen, but thought it should be fun. There are also photos of the hot spring itself. However, there are no photo shots of us soaking our feet because… In the end, the water level of the hot spring is not high enough for it to flow out of its ‘tub’, hence no water flow to soak our feet. Too bad then. The ladies were quite disappointed.
Happy New Year!….?
2009, January 3
Haha, a belated happy new year to everyone. I went to a very remote area in Thailand for countdown, hence not available to update my blog.
I went to a friend’s hot spring resort on the 31th, in a remote area of Thailand that is only 30km from Burma. The whole area is surrounded by mountains, and the sea is only a 30 minutes drive away.
The photos below are taken on the way to the resort and of the resort itself. Lazy to tag the photos individually now, very late already. I was falling asleep as the photos upload.
Didnt managed to take pictures of the fireworks. Haha, fireworks are not regulated in Thailand like in Singapore, so the local people let them off like they are free. I heard they are beautiful, but didnt see them myself because i fell asleep before midnight. Haha, i was quite sad the following morning, but just consoled myself by thinking the camera is too lousy to be able to capture it anyway.
Merry Christmas!

As the title suggests.
Another photo laden post

An introduction to the cat now calling my home home. Super qian pian.

Its actually yawning in the picture above. Very friendly cat.
Ok, end of cat story. Was feeling emo suddenly just now, went out and took loads of pictures. According to the news, today’s moon will be the brightest and fullest Thailand would have seen in almost 15 years.

As bright as the evening sun. This last picture really captured how bright the moon was. It literally lighted up the whole road. I could walk on the road tonight without a torchlight.
This is my LED torchlight… Not the moon. Its like a mini SUN… (when held up close)
Below are just random pictures i took for fun.

Playing with the camera…

Lol, haunted house?

Lol, the escape sign was erected years ago when there is still a passage way here.. The passage has been sealed, but the sign is still here. And its now pointing at a wall…

The picture of the Disc Electrostatic Sprayer (DES). We call it ‘disco’. Once working a straight 16 hrs during the hey days… Now sleeping sliently waiting for the economy to recover…

The start of a 400m spray painting land line that was never used… The bright white dot in the centre of the picture is the reflection of the flash from a window at the end of the line.

The blocks that built everything. Lol, these are legs of bed frames actually. Mind you, these are solid wood. Thick arnt they? I wonder if anyone has bed with such thick solid wood legs in Singapore.

A tumbler. Hmm.. I wonder who put that plastic bag on it…

Snowing? No… Those fecks are dusts…

Eerie isnt it?

Temperature of the screw compressor, the LED stands out in the dark.

Me operating the forklift, ok, this is actually pretty dangerous, operating the forklift with camera in hand. (the forklift is actually stationary when i took the picture…)

Dave, this is the pond i was referring to. I like this picture, its kinda scenic.

The fence.

This 2 two statues are really cool. They were gifts from a forklift component manufacturer. They are made of various parts and components. U can see springs, spanners, chains, gears welded together.

Lol, i got the inspiration for this photo after seeing the photo above. This one is really funny. (for the uninitiated, look at the clubhead)
Some pictures

Talk about braiding, nature has out done humans again.

Some pics of unfinished furniture…

Just interesting stuff…

SXC at work
2008, December 6
Pampered myself a bit and used the SXC lod for a day before passing all my lods to a friend for reviews. Doesn’t it look cool?

My workbench looking its very best, normally its not so tidy. I was so touched by the tidiness that i got to take picture of it to capture it in time.

And here’s Mani, just finished bathing. Got to keep her in a confined area near the window to sun tan. She was abandoned by her previous owner and my sis took her home from Metta Cats. Technically, Mani is actually still up for adoption, because my sister’s role is just to help look after her before Mani found a permanent home. But i seriously doubt my sis will give her up now…
